I love music! I grew up in Blackfoot and graduated from Blackfoot High School and from Idaho State University. I have a degree in Mass Communication with an emphasis in PR and Advertising and a minor in writing English. I have a beautiful little girl named Aria who is the light of my life. Oh, and did I mention that I love music?

I am in charge of the Variety section of the Idaho State Journal and the Jhub and Idaho State Journal websites. Basically, I cover arts and entertainment. I get to go to plays, art shows, concerts, etc. I have gotten to interview a lot of famous musicians lately, including Royal Bliss, Otep, Tom Maxwell from the bands Hell Yeah and Nothingface, Adema, Candlebox, Peter Cetera, Micheal Lardie, the Keyboard player for Great White, Jamie of Warrent, Michael of Every Time I Die, Josh of Psychostick, JJ Grey, Jared of (hed) p.e., "The Rev" of Avenged Sevenfold, pianist Jim Brickman , Rob Arnold of Chimaira, Jim of Jimmy Eat World and Jeremy Davis of Paramore, Alice Cooper, Jeremy of Five Finger Death Punch, MXPX, Eyes Set to Kill and more.

I also do features on local bands and have gotten to know many of them fairly well. That is how I met the love of my life, my Mikey, when he was the drummer for local band Hatelocker.
